RENEWABLE ENERGY PRODUCTION

Today, a large portion of energy is supplied by fossil fuels, which cause significant increase in carbon dioxide emissions in the atmosphere and therefore have a major role in climate change. Research and implementation of clean energy has gained importance with the introduction of sustainable development actions, and this issue has been among the top priorities of science and R&D projects for over thirty years. The outputs of these projects need to be implemented with proper policies and investments. Many research projects on clean energy production are being conducted at Gebze Technical University. Studies on the use of solar energy have also been initiated on campus.
